JAMES L. LAWYER
, MSW, LCSW, is a licensed clinical social worker and a board certified Cognitive Behavior Therapist.  A graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Mr. Lawyer has more than 30 years of counseling experience and has consulted with agencies, schools and national corporations.  He has served as Instructor of Behavioral Science for Family Practice residents at Illinois Masonic Medical Center and was Director of Social Services at the Howard Brown Health Center, the largest largest gay and lesbian health care facility in the Midwest.  He has also served as Field Instructor for graduate social work students at the University of Chicago/SSA, Loyola University and Indiana University.


ALICE BELGRADE, M.S. Ed., LCPC, BCBA, is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor.  A graduate of the University of Tennessee, she received her Masters Degree from Northern Illinois University.  Her experience spans more than twenty years in the fields of education and behavior analysis.  She has provided individualized and classroom instruction to children and adults with a variety of disabilities, and has also served as staff behavior analyst for community-based agencies.   Her distinctive behavior management programs are characterized by a blend of sound behaviorist theory, practical and accessible techniques, and realistic goals.  In addition to training staff consultants and graduate students, Ms. Belgrade is a sought-after speaker for parent and professional groups.  Her unique approach to the science of behaviorism has gained popularity whenever it is presented.  She is currently the Behavior Analyst for the Community Unit School District #95.

JENNIFER KLAPATCH,  MA, BCBA, has her Master's in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis from
The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.  She is a Board Certfified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and has experience with both children and adults with developmental disabilities, mental illness, and behavioral problems.  Prior to joining CBC, Inc., Jennifer worked in a variety of public and private settings, including the public school system, foster care, and residential placements.  She is currently a member of the Adjunct Faculty at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and a doctoral candidate.


STEPHEN M. EDFORS, MS, Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) is a licensed therapist who for the past 15 years has worked primarily in agency treatment programs directed at persons with substance abuse concerns and co-occurring mental health disorders.  He is a client-centered practitioner utilizing cognitive-behavioral therapy, as well as interpersonal, motivational interviewing  and harm reduction techniques.  Stephen has facilitated treatment in groups as well as families, couples, and individuals.  His strengths lie in his ability to respond to GLBT persons, persons struggling with addictive behaviors, as well as people dealing with self-esteem, depression, and spirituality concerns.


JANICE H. MARCH, LCSW, CADC, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor.  Janice received her Master's of Social Work Degree from Loyola University.  She has more than 10 years of experience as a group, individual and family therapist.  Ms. March specializes in working with clients who have sexual abuse, relationship and addiction issues.  Her passion is to help trauma survivors get out of the victim role so that they can learn to create positive, loving relationships.  Janice has a straightforward, collaborative approach and engages clients philosophically as a loving witness to their pain.  She has found that using cognitive behavioral therapy helps to restructure negative thinking patterns and moves clients forward.


ERICA SCHWAB has a Master's Degree in Elementary and Special Education from Rutgers University.  She did her training in Applied Behavior Analysis at the Douglass Developmental Disability Center in New Brunswick, NJ.  Erica has worked in both public and private placements with children and adults with developmental disabilities and severe behavioral issues.  Prior to her joining the CBC, Inc. team, Erica worked at the Jewish Children and Family Services as a lead teacher in the Early Childhood Autism Academy.  She has expertise in verbal behavior, applied behavior analysis, and toilet training.
